Fine Art Watercolor Painting, Original, European, Signed Gale Driver 2002
I have a original Gale Driver Watercolor painting with scenes from what must be Italy looks like Venice to me. She is a well accomplished artist and has many followers. Painted in Feb. 2002 and signed these are like new I took them out original sleeves and framed them. 12" x 15" framed 6" x 9" exposed area. Find something “BEFORE YOU RETIRE” that you feel PASSIONATE about! A friend talked Gale into taking a 2-day workshop two years before she took an early retirement from the corporate world of aerospace. The painting she chose to copy in the workshop was Matisse’s “Woman in a Purple Robe with Ranunculi.” The teacher showed the class how to copy the art onto tracing paper and then transfer it using a grid onto a 26” x 32” canvas. The second day, the class was instructed how to mix and blend acrylic paint. By 4 p.m. that day the painting was finished. The next day Gale got up and placed her painting on a chair in front of her and thought “Oh, my God, I can paint!” Since retiring, Gale’s had the time of her life taking various classes in her hometown in Southern California and attending workshops across America and Europe. She does admit that her favorite times painting have been attending art workshops in Italy where she had the luxury of painting from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily with a group of other artists. Gale says that what she likes about painting is that “each painting I do teaches me something. It might be about prospective or shadow or placing colors next to each other.” Painting, she says, has affected the way she looks at the world. “I can’t look at a scene without seeing the shades of color, light and shadows. I am actually training my eyes to see.”Shipping and insurance included.
